Alcohol and Drug Dependence is everyone's problem. Either we are addicted ourselves or we live with someone who is addicted.
What does A.C.A.D.D do?
We offer supported crisis, temporary, emergency and transitional accommodation for homeless families recovering from alcoholism and addiction or seeking treatment and rehabilitation.
- Supporting families and family members who all too frequently fall through a precarious gap in care provision before and after treatment and rehabilitation from alcohol and drug addiction.
- A.C.A.D.D provides a stand-alone option for precisely the type of people at risk of falling through the gap ofprimary and secondary care, where the family members effected by someone else's alcohol and drug use are rendered socially disadvantaged, and intellectually impaired, even mentally challenged due to trauma and untreated grief and pain, who haven't developed a serious mental illness or psychosis.
- A.C.A.D.D target to support the Family unit, where the treatment and rehabilitation is available to the member of the family using drugs and alcohol whilst the rest of family bear the burden and consequences, like being left homeless and destitute without any support.
